English Communication Camp

Summers are made of memories and memories are made in Karjaa! When the slanting rays of the midnight sun still brighten the beautiful Lärkkulla College campus in Karjaa, you can make summer memories at the English Communication Camp. Make new friends, learn about other cultures, and talk about all kinds of things in English at an English camp with an International flavor. The world is a global community and you can step right into it with other young people from around the world.
At the English Communication Camp, you’ll have great opportunities to use and improve your language skills. From sun up to sun down you are part of the fun and learning with music and the arts, sports, world politics and the economy, literature, and more. You’ll be speaking in English, thinking in English, singing in English, maybe even dreaming in English! You will find time to laugh and sing, listen and talk, and perhaps just get away for a quiet nature walk, too.
Join native English-speaking teachers Paul, Maureen and Harry from the U.S., also an experienced international staff, and a host of students for a camp full of summer memories you’ll always remember!

PROGRAM
ENGLISH
We will concentrate on conversation, communication skills, contemporary issues, giving speech and reading, writing and listening comprehension. Silence is not golden, talking is!
ART
We well paint, make masks and have a installation together. Show your inner artist!
MUSIC
Playing together or if you want to go solo… the stage is yours!
OTHER EVENTS
Discussions on different topics; public speaking, languages, Finnish and international evenings, sports and recreation, and more.
